Argus followed the Model A (left) with the AF (right). The two look identical until the lens is extended; then the AF's focusing ring becomes visible. Unlike the A's 2-position, 6-feet-to-infinity mount, the AF scale focuses from 15 inches to infinity (if you can keep the whole lens barrel from rotating as you try to turn the focus ring).
The photo in the foreground is another Argus A: my father's first 35mm camera, given to him (according to family legend) by my mother for Christmas in 1942.
